Well as you can read from quite a few of the other reviews I along with others was subject to their door knocking "special" scam. I'll elaborate.
I like others had a sales rep knock on my door one morning (8am) and he was looking to sell me a package for pest control for a years service. I told him SPECIFICALLY that I wasn't sure I was going to be in the house that I was in within a years time since the lease ended in less than a year. He then tells me that that's okay, he has the ability to give me a TRIAL PERIOD where I throw some money down for the first service ($60 before, $40 after) and if I like it or I don't I can cancel before the second service so it wont affect my move. If I didn't cancel before the second service I would have to pay the full amount. Thinking that that would be a great opportunity I took it. I thanked the man and went on my way. I actually even bought the extra mosquito mist since I thought he was being a good salesman trying to hook me up.
After what I believe to be two months none of the bugs went away, they got worse because what ended up dying were the animals that ate the bugs like the frogs and lizards. Also the mosquito mist didn't do A N Y T H I N G. Realizing that well we tried I went to cancel the service where I talked to a lady who said to cancel I had to pay a $189.99 fee to cancel since I was canceling the service early. I explained to the lady what had happened and that the sales rep NEVER said anything about a cancellation fee(the whole point was that I could cancel early no problem) and her only response was "well our bad, but we still need this payment". Trying to be understanding in that maybe this was outside of her wheelhouse of authority, I politely asked if there was someone higher up I could talk to about the situation. She told me that she was one of the managers(or something equal, idr the exact title) and that she would have a chat with the sales person but I "needed" to pay. I then asked her if literally nothing I said resonated with her and that I could leave a positive review after to help quarrel the situation and she in a more rude tone said "no I need to collect the money and that it sounded like I wasn't gonna pay so i'm going to cancel the service and charge you the fee".
That said, I told her that since there was literally no wiggle room on anything, their sales person lied, she was acting rude, and I already paid for a single service that didn't even work that I would block the payment. Just got off the phone with someone hoping that maybe someone else would be more reasonable by explaining the situation and the gentleman on the phone also came with a rude tone and no care and its going to go to collections where I will gladly pay it. I never didn't have the money, I just refuse to pay this sham of a company a single dollar if this is how they are going to scam customers from the sales person to the management.
